We're going to do some guided visualization for a kettlebell competition set. Now on this set, I want you to really hone in on a set where you run into difficulty, but you overcome. Now we know that in most kettlebell sports sets on a 10 minute set, that tends to happen in minutes six through eight. So the seventh and eighth minute of the set, those tend to be where most of the difficulty comes in. So that's where we're going to focus in on the things that you're likely going to hear in your head, that you're going to have to ignore or push through in order for this set really to go well and for you to overcome. So you know you're going to face adversity, but you know that you can overcome it because you're tough and you've prepared for this. All right, so let's get started. I want you to close your eyes. I want you to picture the venue that you're in. Where are you going to be competing? Orient yourself to the space. Feel the energy in the room. Look around, find your platform. See where you're going to be competing. All right, now time has arrived. It's time for your set. Got a couple of minutes before we start. At this point, I want you to check in with your body. Feel how nervous and excited you are. Your heart pounding in your chest. Feel the anxiety that you feel right now. And I want you to take a couple of deep breaths. Call them yourself down. You know that you're ready for this. You know that you've put in the training. You know that you've put in the work. Now, it's time for you to go perform. Checking again with your body. Feel your heart ring. Fill your lungs. Big breaths. Calm. Calm yourself down. Everything felt good in warm-ups. People are here to support you. The energy in the room is good. Listen to the sound. The energy of the crowd. Smell the chalk in the air. Smell the sweat. The excitement. The clanging of bells. The feel of your shirt. But you're ready. Now, you put your bells on the platform. You find your judge. And it's time. Get ready. Your timer is in front of you. Judges, are you ready? Lifters. Are you ready? Everyone ready? In. Five. Four. Three. Two. One. And. Lift. First minute. Everything is feeling good. Bell feels light. Breathing is smooth. You're on rhythm. You're on pace. Your heart rate is up because you're excited. You gotta calm yourself down a little bit. Calm breathing. Find your rhythm. That's one minute down. Everything is still feeling good. Check on your rep count. Right on pace. Check in with your breathing. Feelin' good. You're right on it. Nice and smooth. You're at the two minute checkpoint. Checkin' in on your body. The adrenaline dump has come. Now you're struggling a little bit. You were so excited. He came out. A little overexcited. Now we're gonna breathe. Everything is okay. Breathe. Find your rhythm. Everything is smooth now. You're back in the groove. Three minutes down. Beginning to feel the burn. Heart rates up. Higher than you want it to be. Your breathing's a little higher than you want it to be. This is feeling a little bit hard. But you know you've got this. There's plenty of gas in the tank. Your mind is playing tricks on you. You've got this. Your pacing is there. Your under control. Technique is still smooth. You're feeling good. Everything's okay. Nice and calm. Four minutes down. Staying nice and steady. The energy of the crowd is weighing a little bit. Everyone settling in. You're feeling okay. Heart rate is up. Muscles are burning a little bit. You could just stop at five minutes. But no. We're not going to do that. We're gonna check in at five minutes. And if we need to adjust pace, we will. In three, two, one, we're halfway. Okay. Check in. How are we feeling? Do we need to adjust pace? Or can we keep going as we're doing? Doing okay. Keep pushing forward. We made it through the halfway point. We're committed to finishing this set. We are going to finish the time. Tell yourself I'm going to finish the time. I'm going to finish the time. I've got this. Alright, six minutes down. Here's where it's going to get hard. Muscles are burning. Your lungs are screaming. Your heart rate is too high. You could just put them down. But we're not going to do that. No. We're not going to give in to that. It would be easier to put them down. This would be over. But no, not going to do that. Not going to put them down. You know you can finish this. Keep going. Focus on your breathing. Focus on smooth technique. Nice and efficient. Find your coach. Listen. Seven minutes down. Oh, the bells are really feeling heavy now. But you know you can do it. Stay on pace. Breathe. Breathe. Smooth technique. You can slow down if you need to. But we are not going to stop. We are not going to stop. Here we go. Keep going. Get another rep. Check in. Keep going. Nice and smooth. Here you go. Two minutes left. You're going to make it. You've got this. You've got this. You know you can finish. You know it in your bones. Keep pushing. Keep digging. Everything hurts. But nothing would hurt worse than putting the bells down. You know you can make it. You're going to finish. You're going to finish. Keep going. 90 more seconds. You're almost there. Keep breathing. Keep breathing. Fight. Fight for it. Nice and smooth. Almost there. Last minute. Here we go. Time to dig deep. Breathe. Big breaths. Keep pushing. You've got this. You've got this. That's 15 seconds down. You're almost done. Keep going. Dig deep. Dig deep. Push. Push push. Here we go. Last 30 seconds is coming up. Can you dig any deeper? Let's go. Push. Final 30 seconds. Come on. You got this. Keep pushing. Here we go. 15 seconds left. Finish. Finish strong. Everything you got. Everything you got. Fight for it. 10. Come on. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Here the crowd. Five. Four. Three. Two. One. Time. Bells down. Great work. Great work. And now as you come back. Into the room. You hear the roar of the crowd. You look up at your timer. And you see 10 minutes. You finished. You did it. And you look at your result. And it was better than you expected. You were able to push through. You're exhausted. Every muscle is screaming. Your lungs are on fire. Your heart is beating out of your chest. But you know that you just made yourself better. That you pushed through and you overcame. You feel incredibly proud of yourself. Great job.
